Navigating sober curiosity can be challenging, especially when building new relationships without the focus on alcohol. For years, we’ve shifted from bars to the great outdoors, emphasising the importance of connecting with nature. Our recent collaboration with Nettle and Tide & Trail illustrates this modern approach within our local community.

Wild Swim

The event began with a guided wild swim led by Jo from Tide & Trail, allowing our community to connect with nature along our beautiful home shores.

Promoting Low & No

Our commitment to inclusivity and advocating for low & no alcohol options was evident as we provided a Yeti cooler full of Lucky Saint (thanks, folks) This reaffirmed that having a great time doesn’t require alcohol ~ it's about enjoying the moment, the great outdoors, and the great company.

Engaging Conversations on Sober Living

During our Mindful Mixer we had engaging conversations about our sober journeys and the stigma we’ve faced. The takeaway was that choosing a sober lifestyle can improve our wellbeing and find a deeper appreciation for life. We see it as an empowering choice rather than a negative consequence.

A Beach Cookout

Our Mindful Mixer event culminated in a beach cookout, where our community enjoyed crafting nutritious meals using fresh ingredients from Nettle.

This experience highlighted that sober curiosity is about making intentional choices that align with our values, rather than experiencing deprivation.
