Our Mission
We Are Not Anti-Alcohol, We Are Pro-Choice.
Arclett is redefining sobriety, making it visible, appealing, and stigma-free, offering a modern space for the sober curious to explore life without alcohol.

The Need for Change
Alcohol deaths in the UK reached an all-time high in 2023, with over 10,473 alcohol-specific deaths. Meanwhile, 80% of individuals face unmet support needs, and alcohol misuse costs the UK £28 billion annually. Despite these stark figures, 94% of the population does not fall into high-risk or dependent categories, leaving a vast majority unsupported.
Stigma
One of the biggest obstacles to alcohol change is stigma. When we asked our community about their greatest barrier to improving their relationship with alcohol, 29% identified stigma as the number one issue. The fear of judgement, societal pressure, and negative perceptions about being alcohol-free discourage many from exploring this lifestyle. Sobriety remains largely invisible, making it harder for people to reflect on their drinking or envision the benefits of life without alcohol.
Alcohol Prevention
Support services tend to focus overwhelmingly on high-risk individuals. Meanwhile, those in the "grey area" ~ where alcohol affects mental health, productivity, and relationships ~ are left without adequate guidance or community. This lack of visibility and positive representation means that many who could benefit from an alcohol-free lifestyle don't always feel supported or inspired to make a change.
Our 'Why'
Arclett was created to fill this gap ~ a space for the sober curious and those exploring life without alcohol. We don’t draw a hard line between people who drink and those who don’t. We aim to create a space that welcomes everyone because we believe in choice, support, and positive change. Choosing an alcohol-free lifestyle isn’t about what we give up ~ it’s about what we gain.
An Inclusive Approach
We believe sobriety should be seen as an empowering and aspirational choice. By making an alcohol-free lifestyle visible and attractive, we hope to break down the stigma and provide a space where people feel welcome ~ whether they're taking a break from drinking or choosing lifelong abstinence. Our community includes people who still drink, and we value that diversity. Sobriety isn’t always linear, and curiosity about an alcohol-free life shouldn’t come with shame.

Our Solution
We are reframing the narrative around sobriety by making it visible, accessible, and attractive. Our approach addresses the full spectrum of alcohol intervention:
Prevention: We target individuals before dependency develops, delivering positive, stigma-free messages on social media ~ where people are most engaged in 2025.
Peer Support: Our growing online community of over 10,000 individuals provides a safe, judgement-free space to share experiences and feel connected.
Empowerment: For those exploring sober living, we offer tools, community, and encouragement to embrace sobriety as a lifestyle of growth and opportunity.
Our approach is uniquely positioned to meet people where they are most comfortable ~ on their phones. In 2025, effective outreach requires meeting people online, and our social media campaigns do just that.
Our Experience
Arclett’s founder, Scott Woolley, brings over 14 years of experience in the alcohol treatment field, coupled with 8 years of expertise in digital marketing. Having witnessed the gaps in how society approaches alcohol use, Scott recognised that sobriety shouldn’t just be about recovery from dependency ~ it should also be about empowerment, personal growth, and choice.
In December 2022, Scott launched Arclett to create a welcoming space for people to explore sober curiosity. Leveraging his digital marketing expertise, Scott has successfully built a thriving online community, engaging thousands of individuals and making sobriety more visible and appealing. Drawing on his love for the outdoors, Arclett uniquely intertwines sober living with nature, offering people a way to redefine joy outside of drinking culture.
