'Arclett' derives from Loch Arklet which was stumbled upon by our founder during exploration in the remote Scottish wilderness. It was at this moment Scott had a realisation that his passion for sober living & the outdoors could intertwine and Arclett was born.

Founder, Scott, started his journey in alcohol treatment in 2007, dedicating much of his life to helping others in the field. Scott's passion for sober living deepened during lockdown when he shared his personal journey through "A Sober Story." The story resonated widely, inspiring others to become sober curious. Some who first read his story are now over three years sober, highlighting the power of shared experiences.
This overwhelming response inspired Scott to combine his professional expertise with his personal journey, and leverage his other career in marketing, to shape the concept of digital storytelling focused on sober inspiration. After 18 months of meticulous planning, Arclett launched in alignment with DryJanuary® 2023.
The name "Arclett" is inspired by Loch Arklet, a secluded wilderness Scott discovered while exploring the Scottish outdoors. In that moment, he realised how his love for sober living and the natural world could intertwine, and Arclett was born.
Arclett reflects Scott’s long standing passion for the outdoors. Years ago, he chose to swap bars for the outdoors, a shift that now defines the brand. Arclett is more than just a name ~ it represents the freedom to pursue one’s own path, inspiring others to explore sober curiosity alongside nature, and the personal freedom that can bring.
Arclett stands as a symbol of The Sober Collective ~ a community-driven brand for those who are sober, sober curious, or anywhere in between. The initiative humanises alcohol prevention, integrating the therapeutic benefits of nature. Each piece of content subtly encourages people to be more intentional with what they consume, and build a deeper connection to the natural world.
