“Alcohol was never something that defined me. Whilst I valued the time with my friends (where we would share some of our best memories), I knew I didn’t rely on alcohol to support it. It was part of the ritual of getting together that no longer served me.

My husband and I stopped drinking alcohol around the same time. Now 10 years after that decision I’ve never even thought twice about it, so much so that we don’t even eat food with it in.

There’s a misconception that you get less out of social situations when you take alcohol out of the equation but I actually find it heightens and gives clarity to the invaluable time spent with my loved ones.”
