Who is Victoria Wild?

I am a very happy self-taught hobbyist photographer currently living in my van with my dog Erik exploring everywhere.

How did you become inspired by sober living?

My sober journey started at 17, I was training for the London Marathon to run when I turned 18. At the time I was raising a lot of money for charity in memory of someone I lost close to me so I took the whole event/training very seriously and decided not to drink. After completing the Marathon I kept my fitness up and never looked back at alcohol again. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

What is your favourite sober experience?

I would say everything. As I have spent my adult life not having alcohol it has now become the norm to me. And I think for me being able to be my true self at parties or events without the need of a drink is my favourite sober thought. The confidence in myself I have got from not drinking is priceless.

How do you connect with the outdoors?

I connect through photography/filmography, fitness, hiking, paddleboarding and general exploring. Travelling in my van has also helped me to connect with life in a more slowed down and appreciative kind of way.

Where are you heading next?

I am currently away travelling in East-Africa and in the summer I’m planning to visit Norway. For me I chase all the real and wonderful things in life.
