Embracing sober living may seem challenging, especially when confronted with the stigma surrounding a life without alcohol. But what if we shared that it's not about giving up, but rather about making choices that resonate with your values and aspirations? At Arclett, we are strong advocates for redefining the concept of sober living, and our recent partnership with Nettle and Make CIC beautifully exemplifies this vision.

A Botanical Mocktail Experience

Our Mindful Mixer event began with a unique botanical mocktail-making class, where our community had the chance to learn the art of crafting alcohol-free cocktails. What made this experience even more special is that we harvested fresh ingredients from the botanical community gardens of Make CIC. This hands-on session beautifully illustrated that sober living isn't about deprivation but about making mindful choices that resonate with our values and way of life.

Discussions on Sober Living

Over these alcohol-free drinks, we engaged in meaningful discussions about sober living. We shared our personal journeys and the hurdles we've surmounted. The overarching message was that choosing sober living is a path that can lead to personal growth, improved wellbeing, and a more meaningful appreciation of life.

Low and No Alcohol Options

Nettle’s commitment to becoming more inclusive and promoting low and no alcohol options was heartening. It reinforced the idea that we don't need alcohol to have a good time – it's all about savouring the moment and the company we keep.

Pub Quiz and Community Bonding

Wrapping up our event, we gathered for a relaxed pub quiz – a chance to celebrate our community and create lasting memories. The evening had a chilled vibe with mellow beats in the background, and outside, a cozy fire pit added a warmth to a late September night.

In summary, our Mindful Mixer event in partnership with Nettle and Make CIC was a celebration of sober curiosity, community, and the beauty of embracing a modern approach to sober living. Together, we worked toward dismantling the stigma surrounding sober living and paving the way for a future where low and no alcohol options are not only readily available and accepted but also celebrated.
