Sober Story Submission

Sharing Policy

At Arclett, we respect your privacy and want to ensure that your sober story is shared in a safe and responsible manner. This policy outlines our guidelines to maintain the confidentiality of your story and comply with data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1.Consent to Share: By submitting your sober story to Arclett, you grant us permission to share your story on our website, social media, and related materials. You acknowledge that your story will be read by the sober curious community, as well as the general public. This consent is irrevocable once the story is shared, except as outlined in point 8 regarding deletion and withdrawal.

2. Anonymous Sharing: To protect your privacy, you can choose to share your story anonymously or publicly. If you prefer anonymity, we will not disclose any personal identifying information unless explicitly provided by you. You can decide the level of personal information you wish to disclose. However, please be aware that even when sharing anonymously, interactions with the post such as sharing, liking, or commenting, may potentially reveal your identity. Additionally, while we strive to maintain anonymity, it is important to recognise that details within your story or other contextual information may inadvertently lead to identification, especially if you use your first name or reference specific locations or events. We encourage you to consider these factors carefully when deciding whether to share your story anonymously.

3. Confidentiality and Privacy: While we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your sober story, please be aware that once shared on social media, the general public will have access to your story. We strongly advise against sharing sensitive personal information that could potentially identify you or others. However, Arclett cannot guarantee the actions of the general public and their interpretations or responses to your story.

4. GDPR Compliance and Data Handling: We adhere to GDPR regulations and handle your personal data responsibly. Your email address will be collected and stored for communication purposes, but it will not be publicly shared or used for marketing without your explicit consent. Your data will be securely stored and protected against unauthorised access or disclosure.

5. Moderation and Content Review: All submissions will be reviewed by our moderation team to ensure they align with our community guidelines. We reserve the right to edit or decline stories that contain inappropriate or offensive content. However, Arclett cannot be held responsible for any harm caused by the publication or sharing of your story.

6. Impact and Empowerment: By sharing your sober story, you contribute to the sober curious movement. Your experiences can inspire others who are sober or sober curious, but Arclett cannot be held responsible for the interpretation or response of other community members.

7. Responsibility and Accountability: While sharing your sober story can be a positive experience, Arclett cannot be held responsible for any negative consequences that may arise personally or professionally. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are comfortable with sharing your story and aware of the potential risks involved.

8. Deletion and Withdrawal: If you wish to have your sober story removed from our platforms, you may contact us at info@arclett.com. We will promptly review your request and take appropriate action, including removing the story from our platforms if necessary. However, please note that once a story has been shared, it may have already been accessed or viewed by the general public, and Arclett cannot guarantee complete removal or recall of your story.

9. Content Ownership: You retain full ownership of the content you submit. However, by sharing your story with Arclett, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display the content worldwide in any media format.

10. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold Arclett harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your submission, including but not limited to claims of defamation, infringement of intellectual property rights, or violation of privacy rights.

11. Consent Validity: You affirm that you have the legal right and authority to grant the permissions outlined in these terms, including the right to share any personal information included in your submission.

12. Community Guidelines: Your submission must adhere to our community guidelines, which prohibit hate speech, harassment, explicit content, and any other forms of inappropriate or offensive material. Arclett reserves the right to remove or edit submissions that violate these guidelines.

13. Professional Advice: Arclett does not provide professional advice, therapy, or counselling services. Any information shared on our platform is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional advice. If you require professional assistance, please consult a qualified healthcare provider or counsellor.

14. Limitation of Liability: Arclett shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your submission or use of our platform, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, or data.

15. Age Requirement: By submitting your sober story to Arclett, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have obtained parental consent if you are under the age of 18. Arclett reserves the right to verify the age of users and may reject submissions from individuals who do not meet this requirement.
